Eam F-18 Arf

EAM has it's ARF ready to go now. I know there has been some discussion about the design of it, but I'm not going to get into the middle that. If you want a quick Hornet to put in the air it's available and can be in the air in about 6-8 hrs.
It also comes in blue with great Blue Angles decals.

I was excited until I realized that this jet needs a bungee launch. I hate that! I hate bungee launchers! Sorry, but handlaunching is bad enough... I need ROG or at least handlaunch. I won't be getting this jet... OH well.

EAM Super Hornet Hand Launch

Jonnyspeed,

I have seen the EAM Super Hornet hand launched several times, by several pilots, with several different power set ups. One was a Plettenberg 200-20-6 and another was on an Aveox 1010DF. Fitz (who frequents Ezone) was one of them, how about some testimonial Fitz???

It just takes a good staight and LEVEL launch to get it going. Fly at eye level for a few seconds and it will build speed quickly, then bank and yank all you want, it flys great.

Greetings -

I was down in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area last week on a "all airplanes and models" vacation and stopped in to see Dave and his EAM shop. This is one well stocked hobby shop with the added benefit of being all electric. I took a good look at the ARF Bug and though there are similarities to the EJF Bug, there are some noticeable differences too. That's all I'll say on that as I consider Kevin a good friend and like what Dave is doing with EAM.

If you are ever in the DFW area, stop by Lewisville and drop in at EAM - you'll enjoy the visit!

Oh so many models, and so little time.....

Dave,
Make sure it's a sunny day when you fly it. My gray one just disappears if its cloudy.

Re: EAM Super Hornet Hand Launch

Hey Jason!
Well... you pretty much said exactly what I would have said. Mine is set up on a 1010/DF & 12 CP-1300s (not even zapped) and we hand launched it several times with no problems. It actually has a pretty light wing loading on that setup.

The kit is really quite nice for people like me who have almost no time to build anymore. It only took an evening or so to finish (not including painting). And flies really well.
