I started the assembly this morning : it's an headache :-)

when you are coming out of the introduction F5J assembly where every thing is well identified the step dow is very heavy

The cut quality is very fine but as there is NO numbering you have to figure out part by part, a big waste of time that could be avoided easily.

I have the feeling that time is flying and nothing move ... out of this numbering issue of course thanks to google translator it helps to understand but not clear.

You have to be extremely patient .... I know the result will be there but i feel disappointed. I will be happy to go back to my intro F5J build up ... Not yet finished

I have attached the translation used by me (google translator). It should be noted that there are two boxes, one 46 mm high and one 68 mm high.

The sides of each box are doubled. If you follow instructions step by step and try, check some times before glue, will be ok.

I recomend to have finished glider, before to work at the box.

Many thanks !!!

I have white glued the doubled sides instead cyano, for large parts i am more familiar.

For pieces with large surface I use white glue, for small parts I use thin or thick CA.

I got your point :-)
"I recomend to have finished glider, before to work at the box."

I prepare the box and will finish it when SHE will be ready :-). (SHE = the intro F5J of course)

I agree with you
"For pieces with large surface I use white glue, for small parts I use thin or thick CA."

I am not yet familiar with CA, little user on foam gliders but this Intro gives me ht opportunity to dicover this wonderfull field of CA, fluid, thick , activator etc ... learning curve till on at 69 old :-)

Cover / Lid is glued, all parts fit perfectly and thanks to your photos and your EN manual.

I noticed what you were indicating in post 06, i didn't catch it at the beginning:

"As I find in printed manual that I received with the kit, I make reinforcements from leftover material 4 x 68x 50 mm and 3 x 45x50 mm. (In pdf manual that I have downloaded, this missing.) I like to have all pieces before begin glue and mount."

a question
do you think this box could be used for glider storage during time ? (not only transportation)

I believe that the plywood used for this transportation box looks to be stable and won't twist over time.
Therefore IF the glider is stored in this transportation box without any parts fixing stress, the glider will not be distorted.

What do you think ? Thanks ...

At me, one week to build the box. After glue some pieces must wait 24h.

Yes, one box is enough for me. But I will build a small box from cardboard too, only for wing and elevator for storage. Space can be a problem

I have this experience with my RES gliders, two Kavan RESCO, one electric, one pure RES. Wings on same box from cardboard. Fuselages is relative simple to storage. At field I go with a multiplex bag for glider.

I would like to thank you again for the share of all your photos that makes this box built MUCH easier.
Many details cannot be understood from the manual.
My feeling is that box is nice, the lid is straight no distorsion (*)
Now i have in mind all parts place / there are referenced now, all clear thanks to you.
Remain to glue the base and finish assembly
(*) as i had to built for my introduction F5J an assembly table i have CA glued the lid flat on this assy table with weights ==> perfectly flat.
Time to built : like you +/- 1 week mainly due to the non accurate / understandable manual.

If a person wishes to start such box build, all details are in Popad photos :-)

Regards Popad Jean Luc from France who thank you ...
