My new kite-e plane Modified.

Hi evryone,

This is my version of the Barstool Kite-e Plane.
I have used 10 mm sq stock aluminium from my local hardware store. This has thicker walls than the Slow Stick fuse and is about twice as heavy.

I have used Correx plastic sheet strengthened with carbon rod for the tail feathers. Build time of about 10 min.
Just cut out one segment to achieve the hinge.

Looks nice and sturdy. What did you make those tail feathers from?

I got to go find me some of that.
And I'm thinking about next year coming over to your side of the pond for a visit. Of all the locations I've seen on here I love the country side in your area.

I feel so lucky to live in this part of the world. I am spoilt for choice for subjects to photograph. You must let me know when you’re coming over. We could go flying.
Best regards,

Gray

It's called coroplast here. You can find it in sign shops, or hobby shops sometimes. Or you can just swipe a campaign sign

I've been trying to find a source for Coroplast or Correx here in Germany, but no luck so far...anyone out there have any sources?

Mark, search for "Doppelstegplatte" , available in most of the big DIY-stores in Germany. The Zagi pilots make their winglets from this material.
