Beautiful plane, as usual Jason makes it look easy. The prop sound is awesome!!! Thanks for sharing the video with us Sean. What is the wing loading on that big guy?

BTW, any plans on selling power systems like this already put together?

Great video Sean I followed your thread closely and decided to use the same power setup in a comp-arf 2.6m extra. I've got the plane mostly finished, should be under 25lbs, but am waiting on the gearbox from inner demon. I spoke to Dan there and he recommended a 5.5 to 1 gearbox, and suggested I wait for the new Hercules box - should be available mid September. I'm going with C50 16xl's and either a 26 or 27" APC prop. Any suggestions/tips on the setup would be much appreciated.

Cheers, Sul.

I've seen that plane in several photos and I have always thought that is quite beautiful. It is nice to finally see it in action. On that note. What the hell!? I'm sure if you asked Jason how he got so good, that his answer would be; practice , practice, practice. The thing is. I've flown a lot of flights in my days. I'm not saying that I suck. I can usually get 'em up and down in one piece...but no amount of practice will ever get me flights like that. So good.

Wow! Nice video. If it weren't for the overcast sky I'd say it's the best I've ever seen. Certainly Jason was on that day. What fantastic pilot he is.

Thanks for posting the vid.

This morning I did a Whatt meter and Tach Measurement. Here are the measurements:

2ea.C50 16XL
2ea. Master 77-0-Flight
InnerDemon 32 @ 6:1 Ratio
1ea. Thunder Power 10S5P

Static test was performed at 95 degrees F. at 1000' ASL

Static Amps each Motor= 59Amps@35.5 Volts
Static Prop Rpm= 5400 rpm using APC-E 26x15
Static Thrust= +38LBS (Using fish scale attached to tail of model)

Sorry for the quality of the pics, the prop blast was very strong bouncing the camera around.....

Best Regards,
Sean

Jocke,

Here are the weights of the system:

2ea C50 16XL@15oz.=30oz
2ea Master 77-0-Flight=4oz
1ea Thunder Power 10S5P=71oz
1ea InnerDemon Gearbox=8oz

Total system weight 113oz or 7lbs, to Produce +38 LBS of Thrust!!

No i cant tell you that yet but i know that a Pletti Terminator (920g) swings a 26x15" @ 5200rpm+... one motor-one controller-no gearbox
Will soon try a Actro 60 on simular setup and i think it will deliver simular performance!

Jocke,

What you say seems like a joke, just to cause confusion.

Again you offer only theory , SHOW ME THE SYSTEM!!!! Show the video and REAL DATA like I show you!

I always hear about these fantastic systems from EUROPE, but NO PROOF......
