Has anyone had any experience with these? Perhaps a great price on a 4000mAh 3-cell. Seller has no feedback yet, so I'm waiting to see how they do.

eBay seller "rcessentials" out of Singapore. Battery is a 4000mAh 3S 11.1 V pack. Looks kinda like a TP, but several have sold for around $50. Seller also has 2600's and some ESC's. Sample:

Either the size is incorrect, or it is not a 4000mah pack, although the weight of 256 grams seems about right. "Sony Fukushima high quality control cells"?

I just received a Modelite Lithium 4000 11.1 3 cell today and I checked the voltage before charging and found it to be 7.5 volts.
My understanding is that if a 3 cell pack is less than 9 volts it is bad.
I am trying to get in contact with rcessentials via email to find out what to do.

If any of you have had experience with this battery please let me know.

Shipping voltage for a LiPoly should be approximately 3.7-3.85 per cell so a 3S should be 11.1- 11.55. ,7.5 is 2.5 per cell and way to low. Even if it wil take a charge the cells maybe badly imbalanced . Many LiPoly chargers will not charge a 3S which is much below 10volts..

singapore lipos...WOW...I guess next new brand/vendor will be from calcutta india or iraq....ill stick with my eteks..1700 mah 3s..10-12c discharge for $35...

I'm still waiting for someone to start marketing ULTIMATE LiPolys.
Why settle for the rest when you can have the Ultimate.
I printed up a few trial labels to try on a few random packs of fading LiPolys and it really seemed to help.

Still waiting for refund or new battery. Seller says to return battery but refuses to give me his address.
It seems that a lot of people are happy judging from the feedback. I wish I was one of them.

I bought 2 of the 4000mah packs from this seller....
They seemed to charge ok.
I've just put one of them on Axi 2820/10 setup...which I know pulls 30+ amps...
I put my trusty Wattmeter in place and checked......Wow....on load voltage drops like a brick!!!! down to 7.5v...

Rechecked the battery...put it back on charge...try again.Same same....

So next step...rip off the covering and have a look see inside...Ahhh no wonder! Soldering very dodgy... the cell tabs are just pushed together...Very poor electrical connection hence the load sag.

I need to get some aluminium solder now and try and do a rescue job..

I guess you get what you pay for...... buy cheap buy twice!
