Boost speed is 170mph, at 1/21 scale that is a little over Mach 5

Very cool Frank, nice to see some smaller kits. For those of us who haven't jumped in yet the 18 mm motors are much cheaper than the 24 mm!

And I carry the plugged closures for $12 which is all you need to use them, or you can plug a standard closure with JB weld.

My 'Cuda glider kit is now listed as an eBay auction:

Original description from the designer:
- High performance world competition class (FAI S8E) RC Rocket Glider
- Boost altitude approximately 1000 feet on an E6
- Typical dead air duration 6-7 minutes
- D (20ns) or E(40ns) rocket boost
- Suitable US motors include AeroTech E6 expendable or reload and Estes D12
- Balsa over foam wing, balsa pod, balsa tail, fiberglass boom
- No special tools required for construction
- Airfoil KM7 (same as StingRay 3)
- Removable polyhedral wing for easy transport
- Wing area 194 sq. in.
- Wing span approximately 43"
- Estimated glide weight 220g
