Hey Jim,
Im looking forward to seeing your awesome RC-RG fly!
I sure hope we get some rain here in Texas so that all these burn bans go away and we can get back to flying some rockets.

Started a thread showing my profile Buzzbomb RC/RG I have it framed up, waiting for an rx to do some glide tests to confirm CG.

Here is the second flights of both the A4B and the Buzzbomb, both used the post boost trim programmed into the flap switch and it worked perfectly. Even though it was windy they handled it very well, both have nice gentle controllable boosts, and the A4B glides way better than a flying bomb should. The buzzbomb really handled the wind well.

Enjoy

If you watch them with full screen it is better, the plane gets small but you can see the boost and glide very nicely.

Nice projects, those profile planes are great for doing research for bigger and better things.
Congratulations on the successful flights.

Thank you for sharing the video.

Jim,

Unfortunately my schedule will not allow me to come out to see your glider fly.
Please post some pictures or video of the flight, as Ill sure it will fly very well. What motor are you planning on using for the maiden voyage?

Here are a few more photos, things painted up, along with my Tomahawk and SR-71 that I have not had a chance to maiden yet...

Plans for the SR-71 modified for rocket and the Tomahawk are done, but waiting for posting till I ensure the CG's are correct.

SR-71 profile rocket glider test flight a success

Video posted here

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVrMz1oGoUo

Test flight was perfect, flap setting for 3/16" of up trim for glide was perfect, very easy glide and flare, but my cell phone camera got a little fuzzy at the end, but the landing is easy to tell how soft it was.

Tomahawk cruise missile test flight a success

Test flight of the Tomahawk as well was perfect, straight boost, very controllable, reasonable glide given the small wings, and 3/16" up trim on the flap switch was perfect for glide trim post boost.
