These came in Monday. Man they looks nice. HET kits keep getting better and better all the time. Now I just have to come up with a plan on what to do with them. I think one will go to one of my friends.

Fun Fun,

Hello,

It was the first day, according to the planning, see http://www.frmd.ro/Fai%20Events/2011...e/Buletin3.pdf

So you may see the first movie - second half, because for juniors was afternoon. I stayed with juniors mainly, to get the results and post them, so movies are mainly about them.

As a matter of fact.....I saw a ME163 fly last Monday at LDRS in Kansas. A gentleman by the name of Dave Scheafer flew it on a AT I161. It flew very well and he even managed a roll or two on the way back down.

I love it!

I have a 37" span Me163 converted for rocket flight which I've just started to get back to. Your post has piqued my interest big time. To whit: Scratch built or kit, specs, motor used, etc.etc? As big as that is I assume there's little issue with CG shift on motor burn out?

The model is a greatly modified BP models kit. It has a 5 foot wingspan and weighed 9.2 pounds on the pad. It was flown on an Aerotech I-161. The CG issues were challenging. The CG envelope suggested in the kit is way off. The model was accurately entered into a CAD program to calculate the CG range; basically this gave me a 1.3 inch CG envelope to work in. The mass change of the motor after firing is -6.7 ounces. This moved the CG forward .91 inches
