Dimetri's primary concern is probably the WSMC and he is likely flying 20 mm Ultras there. It also happens to nicely fit the Quest D5s which is also handy for flying here.

Thanks. I knew it wasn't the big two, Aerotech or Estes.

I make this model for my son who will participate in ESMC this year. Almost all European motors for 20 mm or18 mm. I hope for Capitol Cup will be new one with 24 mm motormaunt.

Muto, any chance you would be willing to ship me one of the smaller 20mm - 18mm pods? I would love to try to come up with the rest from scratch.

If so just let me know how much shipped to CA and it does not have to a great one. I would be happy with a 2nd.

Center panels are here - I have the motors - but due to a recent spree from topsky customers Im completely out of servos. So until its all back in stock and I can steal some servos (and a mini-super too) Im on hold. Probably get back to it in about 2 weeks or so.
I have no doubt however that this will be a simple task. All I am doing is adding a center section to extend the wing size and add polyhedral. Then I am mounting a motor mount off the wings bolts for the testing. Once I work out the CG and proper angles for best launch Ill make a foam motor mount to duplicate the correct placement and send it back to topsky for them to use as a prototype for them to create a CAD document from. After that its just up to having a plug made and molding some carbon motor mounts.
If they all test well once I get them back - Ill create kits from them.
In a perfect world they might be ready for sale around fall. Ill probably do a pre-sale on the first bunch at a discount just to get them out there to the public.
I can say I was very disappointed with the motor manufacturer who offered NO support at all on this endeavor. After speaking with the owner of the company I had that feeling they werent interested. So as a result I am really rather wishing to make this capable of using other motors and allow it to be adaptable for the re-usable ones just so I dont end up giving them a product they have no interest in supporting..........
Anyway - Ill let you know as things progress..
Thanks!
-Scott
