What Model Would You Use This On?

FrSky has a 3-Axis CNC Gimbal Extender available that adds a twisting motion to the stick that could be used for any number of functions. It clearly is only useful for pincher style pilots, although you may be able to operate the main 2 axis functions with just your thumb. It has a Magnetic Hall Effect Sensor and it works on the MC12 gimbals and possibly other FrSKy transmitters too with some additional components.

The price is $35, but the big question I'm interested in is what would you use this for? Reply below and tell me what functions you would control with the 3rd axis twisting of the stick.

I flew helis for many years with single stick radios, both Proline and Century 7 JR radios. Actually the most natural way to fly a heli as a heli has three axis.

This will make converting a FrSly transmitter to a single stick much easier. Great for flying RC helicopters. Curtis Youngblood converted a JR transmitter to single stick many years ago.

I am using stick end controls to control a camera gimbal.

The FrSky solution seems to eliminate much modding required until now. I have previously modded RadioMaster TX16S to use:

a) Jeti stick dials: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...l-modification

b) FlySky Paladin EV gimbals on TX16S (have in addition to spring-centering pot also two buttons and for bling, 4 NeoPixel LED ring each):

Why three axis on the right stick...

This is a replay of rudder elevator and aileron on the right stick from the early 70's-early 80's. A single throttle stick was on the left side. (mode 2)
Many flew this type of stick arrangement back then and have asked again for a stick modification ability, hence this stick arrangement has evolved again.

Found on Kraft and other radios of the day. Radio Control Hall Of Fame has all that information EXCEPT for some reason ($'s probably) that site is down now.
