Frustrated with Spektrum (Not anymore!!)


I purchased a like new DX18 gen 2. When I registered it with Spektrum I was told the serial number was a gen 1. I have attached pics that show it is a gen 2 but I don’t see any voice set up menu. Spektrum only answers with 1 or 2 line answers on where to find this option. The box and manual both show gen 2. Does anyone have an idea what I can do.

The fact that it has a speaker grill indicates that it is a Gen 2. The headphone jack on the back indicates that the internal hardware is there.

There were a handful of serial numbers which did not get updated to being Gen 2 in the database.

Turn your radio on, and re-take that last picture with your serial number displayed and I can take care of it for you. (It'll take a few days).

You need to deregister the radio, then register it again as a G2. Then you can install the update and you'll be good to go.
