Hi Jürgen,

Nice photos, thanks!

Were there any ARF models at the event that performed well?

Anything not running a brushless motor?

Regards.

That is one cool looking airplane! Is that a kit? I've never heard of it... what are the specs?

Hi Greg,

In the Sports-Class you could see some commercial ARF models (about 5 out of 20), but not in the Expert-Class. There just isn`'t a model available that would do inverted Cuban Eights, Loops and rolls in a relatively small sports hall. Most of the competitors still used brushed motors, as the controllers are still much smaller and lighter. I'll post some pictures of the other models. Jürgen

Sascha Fliegener came fourth. On the way to the championship he was hit on the "Autobahn" by another car and both his models got severely damaged. In a long session he managed to build a plane from parts of both models, but I haven't got a picture...

Jürgen Baumgarten came fifth with a pretty basic design, but great piloting skills.

Jurgen, great pictures. Did you get any specifics on the dimensions and the power setups for any of the winners?

Not to sure whether somebody has gathered all the data, but at least the weight of all models was checked prior to the contest, and I am sure Ralf Kiesewetter can get all the details. I put my focus on Martin's model. You can also find further pictures at www.mfc-rothenburg.de Jürgen
