Mocked-up the rudder pull-pull linkages and everything works great. I can now complete the balsa sheeting on the top of the fuselage.

That is such a cool looking airplane. What I really love is that you can have a quarter scale RC airplane that sits on your kitchen table and still leaves enough room for everyone to eat.

Wet sheeting with ammonia and bent to turtle-deck frame. Braced with some scrap balsa to allow to dry to shape. Sheeting is not glued at this point.

A great softener of balsa is one part water with an equal part of 70% isopropyl alcohol. The alcohol evaporates quickly so that you’re still able to soften the wood without worrying about the water warping wood.
