Event Summary

We want to thank all of our participants of the “In n Out Cook Out Eliminator Race”. We had a full day of racing completing 53 heats. We had some great racing, good food and better weather. To sum up the race, note the following:

Total entries: 48

RWYB had 22 entries bumping the qualifying limits to 16. The top qualifier was Bruce Giumarra with 2:30.03 and our 16th qualifier was Randy Dauer with 2:38.75. That is a qualifying window of 8 seconds. Winning the RWYB class was Tony Frackowiak our 6th qualifier.

Silver had 13 entries with 8 qualifying for eliminations. Our number one qualifier was George Reidenbach with 2:00.07 and our 8th qualifier was Scott Manning with 2:06.55. The window was only 6.5 seconds. Winning the silver event was our number one qualifier George Reidenbach.

Gold also had 13 entries with the top 8 going to eliminations. Tony Lopez took the top spot with 1:31.31. Our 8th qualifier was Tony Frackowaik with 1:34.98. Gold had a qualifying window of only 5 seconds. The number two qualifier Ben McBride was not able to repair his airplane in time for eliminations, opening the last spot to JR Schiager who ended up winning the Gold event.

Teams racing had a great start with 8 registered teams for this event. That open the purse for $900 of prize money. The winning team was the “Sec Boys” with 85 points. JR winning the Gold, George Reidenbach winning Silver and Aaron Amos made it to the finals taking 2nd place. This team came to race and took more event hats that anyone else.

So, congratulations to all of our winners. Thank you to all of our competitors and I know that next year’s racing will be better than ever.
Our next full race will be February 19, 2022. Lunch will be catered by “Hot Dog on a Stick”. Now is the time to register.
