Question
Good source for folding props and spinners?
Looking to source some 1 inch spinners lightweight if possible and associated folding props for s 48” bird of time. Any recommendations? Thanks. The one I got in the package is more oval than circle. Not sure how well it’s going to work.

We stock several 25mm (approx 1") spinners. Note they use 2mm or smaller hinge pins, so take care to select a suitable prop.

Espiritmodel.com has several choices. Not cheap but very good quality!

In the US I would get the CN from Aloft or ArmSoar

Hyperflight is a good source, shipment is usually very fast.
Another option is Icare in Quebec: https://icare-icarus.3dcartstores.co...rops_c_16.html |

If 1-1/8 inch (28mm) will work, Value Hobby has a very nice, inexpensive aluminum spinner.

All great suggestions. Many thanks to everyone who responded. My main issue is weight with his tiny model so I might need to do plastic or carbon fiber. My little motor has quite a thick threaded shaft. I believe 5 mm maybe

The CN spinner is a good design for those type of motors

5mm? That's huge. Are you sure the motor isn't too much for the model?

Likely a quad-copter motor like this one, with the motor shaft part of the end bell:
https://store.tmotor.com/goods.php?id=923 The front nut on the CN spinner has the same M5 thread https://www.hyperflight.co.uk/produc...-for-m5-shafts |

Hi everybody,
The Icare source mentioned above is excellent. They distribute a variety of folding props and spinners. Their Graupner spinners and carbon fibre prop blades have been really good for a long time. - the spinners are at: http://www.icare-rc.com/spinners.htm - the folding props are at: http://www.icare-rc.com/propellers_folding.htm Cheers |
