Just started putting it together, everything looks great and is well thought out. Only issue so far is I received two left gear legs instead of a left and a right. I sent horizon an email, hoping to hear back soon.

Had a chance to get out with mine this evening and put the maiden flight on it plus 5 more flights. Such a great flying plane! This is the biggest plane I have owned and I am very impressed with how solid and predictable it flies. I was performing low knife edge circles with it on the maiden and other craziness right away and it only got better from there. It even hovers very nicely but it needs almost full throttle to hold altitude. Now I need to get the floats for it.

I'm starting to have too many 2m planes, running out of places to store them. I really enjoy your videos, keep em coming It's nice to see them get wrung out rather than the usual boredom of a maiden by some of the other "influencers" |

I used the original X-mount from the Cub but had to open up the center hole a little for the larger rear bearing of the Power60. I used an AVIAN 100A and a new SMART receiver (no AS3X) and set it up with CROW braking as well, now it's full telemetry like the new Cessna. The receiver swap was not needed, I wanted more channels. You can get away with an 80A ESC but I like the headroom so it runs cooler. The AVIAN 100A slipped right into the stock spot on the Cub, hopefully the Cessna has a similar ESC channel. Then it's just an APC 16x8e prop and you're good to go. If you use a 100A you can get away with a 16x10 but it's getting up there. A 15x10 is what the guys are using when on floats for a little extra clearance. |

Picked mine up at the LHS this week and assembled this morning and brought it out to the field a little while ago for maiden. Beautiful day up here,; high seventies, little to no breeze. Just as I'm going through pre-flight, the left aileron stops working and I see the control rod hanging from the ball link. The little clip to the servo arm was broken. I can't see how I might have broken it and doubt that I did, but my bad for not seeing it during assembly. Yeah, I thought about taking a clip off one of the flaps and fixing the flap in place somehow but then thought better of it. Just got home and there's 2 of those clips leftover in the hardware bag. Easy-peasy.
This is my first plane with AS3X (aside from a couple UMX) and telemetry. I didn't bind for SAFE. With battery connected there's a squeal from the plane. During assembly I thought it was a noisy servo but at the field it sounded more consistent, like an alarm. I set-up telemetry on my DX6 G2 using the auto config. I noticed something under volts for an alarm but couldn't see hoe to disable it. Any ideas? Thanks. |

Fixed up and back to the field for late afternoon sortie. Everything uneventful. A couple clicks of down for trim otherwise hands off. Largest plane I've had but flies like a parkflyer, just easier to see. My 6s 5000 batts gave me 11 minutes of sport flying and touch and gos leaving them at storage charge. Easy field assembly makes is great. Will probably purchase the nose gear just to mix things up.
Something's still screaming inside the fuse; servo, receiver, ESC? |

The servos are digital and will "buzz" (some might even say "squeal") almost constantly when powered on. It will be even louder if they're under load...might be worth checking to see if any of the surfaces/pushrods are binding at neutral (especially the servos in the fuselage).

How about a video so we can get a better understanding of what you're hearing. |

Bonjour.
Merci d’avance. Hello. I would like to paint my plane . But I do not know which underlayment to use that does not damage the EPO foam . To paint without risks. If you know a brand that distributes these products, knowing that I live in France (even in Europe). Thank you in advance. |

Bigger IS better!
What a great flying plane! Rock solid and locked in with no bad habits. It easily inspires the confidence to fly it right down on the deck as you can see in the video. But like other low level flying videos out there I’m wringing it out with minimum altitude loops, rolls and snaps not a bunch of putting around.
Now I need to get the floats and I’m definitely looking forward to test it’s water capabilities.

Wow, excellent aerobatic flying - and right down on the deck! Nice 3-point greasers at the end, too!
