Electrostreak ARF-Jeti 15/4 very nice flying plane

I thought I might share my results with the electrostreak ARF.

I read earlier that another modeler had some trouble with the

horizontal stabilizer.

Here's my set up:

Electrostreak ARF built exactly as manual instructed (no modifications)

Jeti 15/4

Jeti 40 Amp controller BEC

Graupner Cam 9-6 folding prop turns @ 12,000 plus rpm

10 Panasonic 2000 NIMH

1 Futaba s133, 2 hitec HS 55's

Ready to fly weight 44 oz.

Initial current draw 37 Amps, results in 370 watts.

estimated speed 70 mph plus

The plane flies very well, despite the design is almost 15 years old.

It really can be built in about 8 hours.

Yeah, it's not 'state of the art' anymore, but it is a very nice plane

that people can perform aerobatics with.

Hopefully this might restore some confidence with this particular

Yea I was the poor lad that had the "incident". I dont beleive that that kit was of poor quality by any means, in fact I think its the best ARF I've ever seen in terms of overall quality. I just had back luck is all. Im going to try to salvage the bits from the trash and take a photo and send it to Great Planes and see if I get any results. I'd love to get another one.

Hi Dave,

Glad to hear the E-Streak does so well on the 15/4. I had one in my Miss 2 with awesome results (8 800AR's, 8.75x4.5 prop). It would leap off the ground and climb out at 70 degrees (it weighed 31 oz). I should have an E-Streak ARF to review at my home shortly, and the thought crossed my mind of trying a 15/4 in it at some point in time, so it was interested to hear your results.
