Ok, now we can get on to the real stuff like CG placement, motors and mods, to complete design changes. Please folks lets keep all political bashing in the closed threads.

Thanks
Bill

For those that have built this model, what is the all up weight coming in at. That will help me decide what powerplant I'll use.

Looking good Bill. Is that your cockpit plug at the bottom right? If so, what material did you use to form it, the cockpit that is. Post plenty of pics as you have time.
Motor choice...I've a L.S. looking for a new home myself.

Yeah, I have so many toys in my garage and my wife can't figure out where they all come from or how I pay for them? She very rarely sees a charge on any of my CC bills. Have you seen the video of Red's flying off water with the LS motor? And your boat is smaller than Red's. Should be a perfect match. Stupid fun. Gotta love it!

Based on free plan:

Light setup: 270 grams / 9,5 OZ
30 gr. motor, small lipo pack.

Heavier setup: 325 grams / 11,5 OZ
50 gr. motor, bigger lipo pack.

It's better to scale the free plan to 120% if you choose the heavier setup.

I have seen hydro's weighing <200 grams.

@Tash: plz add a link to the first thread too.

Itís called by various names in the industry by different manufactures, RenShape or Modeling Board. Itís like a synthetic wood thatís like plastic, foam and wood combined.

VERY COOL STUFF!

rudder centre

Hi
has any one tried a single center rudder, I have built my haydro with this feature for the following reasons , easier to get good solid rudder control cause the servo is just in front of thr rudder none of those horible splayed conections..and the ruder is in the prop wash ....Ill let you know how it works out first flight tommorow

Nice shop Bill. I especially like the small spray booth. Now let's see some more detailed shots of your hydro project.
