Rogers Pond Kennebunk, ME is a fine venue for RC scale vessels. Not good for FE, but very respectable for all types of scale vessels, including planning hulls up to 16 mph. I have really enjoyed our past joint meets with the Mid Maine Modelers Group. Looking forward to our joint meet this year at Rogers Pond - 9/16/21

Ellesmere Port, UK also used to be a good venue, but last I heard, they has stopped hosting their annual event.

The Astoria pond is East of the museum, along the road as you drive
into town from Portland, St Helens, Rainier. I was hoping the museum
would hold a dedication, but Covid rolled in first.

I quite like my lake, Fairhaven.
It's had a few problems over the years since the picture was taken, but the weed problem seems to have abated, the sea wall works are ended so access in that area is restored, an improvement scheme is well under way, and those resultant restrictions are ending.

The use of that lake has changed unless there are 2 lakes at Fairhaven!


As a kid (1960's) I had a ride in a speedboat - an Albatross - around that lake and we used to hire small sailing dingies by the hour.

Back before 9/11, this one was kind of nice ......... or so I've been told.
