I have been working on another estate rescue vintage model for SMALL. This is another Phil Oestricher model.

It is a 44” wingspan Spearhead Jr, with an old style OS .15 RC and three channel RC. Looks pretty good after some cleanup. Interestingly, the wing and stab are covered in Monokote and the fuse and vertical are covered with Silkspan and painted and all matches very well. It now has a 2.4 RX controlling its vintage Futaba S-133 servos. Motor is a little gummy, but feels pretty good. Just need to flush out the tank and carb with some fuel and it should be good to go.

By the way, Richard Ng and I are highly likely to attend the MARCS Float Fly in Maumelle, AR on Aug 21. We made it to this event 3-4 years ago and had an awesome time.

I've only seen one Wen-Mac model at SMALL and that was a Rogallo Wing free flight that I bought from Steve Staples. Maybe someone else will bring more.

I'm pretty certain I've had a FF plane with a mighty WenMac there.
Womack had a Baby Ringmaster with one.
Hollis had a helicopter with one.
We had one on a ukie made by Joe Wagner but I don't recall if we flew it. I have that plane.

When the going gets weird the weird bring out the WenMacs.

I think I still have a WenMac or two somewhere.

When I was about 12 years old, had the very cool WenMac Silver P-63 King Cobra that could launch spring loaded rockets and eject the pilot with a parachute. Worked great for 20-25 flights until the motor got tired and did not want to start.

I also had the WenMac Hovercraft.

Someone needs to bring a running WenMac to SMALL on something flyable.

The Wenmac Hiller Platform would be the Holy Grail of SMALL stuff.

pretty sure my LHS has several Wenmacs hanging from his ceiling. Next time I'm in there, I'll look more closely. The P39 pictured might be a Cox product or at least have a Cox engine.
