Arkansas Sky Tigers is Ready for FALL SMALL

Good Day Everyone

During the club meeting on 6/24/2021 Arkansas Sky Tigers discussed options for Fall SMALL Fun Fly event, October 14-17th at the Sky Tiger field. We are happy to be here for the pilots, so we will have the field ready for a casual Fall SMALL. Our club believes that flying should be fun and a social event. Everyone is welcome to attend the event. We will keep the standard SMALL limit for engine/ power size. We will not have any registration/sanction, raffle, or food. Just fun in the sun with fellow pilots. Camping is allowed weather permitting of course, we will keep an eye on that situation and let people know. Hope to see you guys in the fall.

Fall SMALL 2021 will be October 14-17th at the Arkansas Sky Tigers Field.

Yes

I knew I forgot something. We should have plenty of room at the end of runway, in the secondary parking. That same location we had it last year in October. . And if needed we had mentioned closing the runway through out the day for control line. We can figure something out for sure.

That would be great! If you guys choose to shut the runway down for control line flying.... I bet you could fit at least 2 probably 3 (maybe 4!) control line flyers on the field all at one time! That would be a VERY fun sight to see!!! :-)

That would be interesting to see. The runway is about 380 ft long. Not sure how many we could fit there.

Well most 1/2a are on 30-40 foot lines. so 380/40 = 9.5!!!!! That would be FANTABULOUS to see 9 each 1/2a control liners flying at the same time!!!!!

You guys have sparked another suggestion! Would it be possible to rotate times out for RC, Control Line, Free Flight and Rockets???? :-) Everyone could get a chance to have their fun and proudly display their successes and failures! :-)

We really don't think anyone would have a problem setting aside certain flexible times (weather permitting!) so everyone gets their turn center stage! Sounds like an even GREATER time! If that is possible! :-)

Sincerely,
Doug and Becky

Just a thought, but what about the area BEYOND the runway? Does the club have use of that? It would be delightful to not have to trek through knee-high weeds when performing the Walk Of Shame Retrieval and would, in theory, provide additional area for CL circles.
