HDS-877 Digital tail servo 10g

I recently was advised from the tech support people at CSM that ashtekelectronics would be selling the HDS-877 digital servo from Hobby Electronics. The specs would indicate that this servo is superior to the multiplex that others have been using (weight and speed).

Does anyone have any experience with this particular servo. It looks like it should work pretty well.

Mike

Unless they will be offering spares, like gear sets, the specs don't matter. I have both the Multiplex Polo Digi 4 and the Saturn 6gram digital servos and even though the specs are better on the Saturn, there are no spares available.

I would agree the a servo has limited appeal without spare gears but it appears that they are offering replacement gears in both nylon and metal http://hobbyelectronics.co.kr/bbs/vi...689cae5d426c82

At least a parts number is promising.

That's good news. Now all we need is a US outlet. Balsaproducts is discontinuing carrying the Hobby Electronics line of servos and don't have the HDS-877 at all. Any other outlets?

and then there is the UK store http://ashtekelectronics.com/store/index.php that ships fast at a fair price from my experience.

The Tech support at CSM said ashtekelectronics.com would have them soon. I have emailed the store to get a date and will post some more info when I get it. I am getting a sample from CSM hopefully by the end of the week

Hi Chaps,

I hoping to get them in at the end of the month. I'm hoping to support these servos will full spares in the near future as well.

Also there's a 18g version which i'm dying to see the results on a x400.

Cheers,

ash.
