Good Batts? Energizer 1700MaH NiMH AA at Sam's Club

Sam's Club has 8 packs of Energizer 1700MaH NiMH AA with a wall charger for $19.99. I was wondering if anyone has experience with these batteries or has hear anything about them. I was thinking of using them in a SS.

I have been happiest with my Sanyo 1650MaH NiMH pack from Shawn at (but he seams to have disappeared). With these packs I get 1600-1700 MaH in a charge. With the RS 1600 MaH NiMH packs I get 1400 MaH in a charge. I don't want to waste money on 1700Mah batteries that rally have much less capacity and longevity.

I haven't used the newest Energizers, but have used the 1200/1300s (can't remember the exact capacity). I also got the Ray-o-vacs at the same time (to compare). I found (not statistically accurate by any stretch of the imagination) that the Ray-o-Vac NimH actually performed better.

I now use the Ray-o-Vac 1600s in my SoarStar (8-cells). Since they're usually a buck or two cheaper than the Energizers, I've stuck with them.

These Ray-O-Vacs are the re-chargeable ones, right? I need to get some cheaper batteries and try to do my own packs.

I got a set of the Energizers at Sam's for my digital camera. They definitely last a lot longer than AA Alkalines.
