Maiden Flight Madness

This week on What the Heck Wednesday we have an FPV drone attempting to take off from a kayak. Sounds like a bad idea right? It was! You can see a water bottle attached to the drone in an attempt to keep it afloat just in case it lands in the water and well yeah that didn't work either. The drone lifts off and immediately hits an object and dunks itself right into the water. At least the view is clear and interesting as it sinks all the way to the bottom.

Let's hear your thoughts on this crash. What would you have done differently?

If you have a video of a weird or entertaining crash and would like to be featured on What the Heck Wednesday, please send me a PM with your submission.

Water bottle should be on the top. If the electronics are waterproofed, it can work underwater. The propellers would make it rise to the surface, then above water.
