my e-flight 30amp esc gets hot when i use it on a 3s lipo why?
it is not plugged into the motor but it is plugged into th reciver and servos
it gets hot in about 15 seconds.

why dose it get hot

If it is not pluged in, are the wires touching?

What motor..what lipoly...how many servos...dose(does) it have??..need more info..can help then maybe.

the wires were not touching. the other time i tried it the wires were touching and the motor ran and the esc was still getting hot . and forgot to mentoin that it will beacome hot and then will stop working beacome really hot and make a schreeching sound.

motor the plane came with
thunder power 3 cell 11.1 volt 730mah and thunder power 3 cell 11.1 volt 860 mah
