Bell runout


What effect does bell runout have on your ESC ,

is it irrelevant until the magnets touch the stator

Depending on the RPM my concern on bell run out would be the effect on the balance.
Less likely it could effect the ESC as the coils furthest from the magnets might produce a weaker synchronising signal so the ESC may loose its timing.
More of a concern is what causes the run out? Bent shaft? Damaged Bell? It might be prudent to simply replace the motor.

It might be that the shaft has moved in the magnet housing motor base and just needs to be reset to the right position. This thread has the details on doing that:
