FrSky Xact Series Glider Servos 5701

NEW ARRIVAL - FrSky Xact Series Glider Servos 5701 in stock now...

Splash

The Xact series coreless servos utilize all CNC machined aluminum protective case and metal gears, the Xact 5701 servos are 3.5V to 6V wide voltage capable and offer high speed and configurable torque performance. Also, the Xact series servos offer multiple form factors and configurations to fit different model types and precision usage.

Working with the F.Port 2.0 (FBUS) protocol, the telemetry data (like real-time current and voltage) of Xact servos can be achieved and transmitted back to the radio by connecting either F.Port 2.0 capable receiver or flight controller. All the preset servo options of speed and torque can be configured directly on an ACCESS radio through the host device of the F.Port 2.0 line, and the configurable servo steering as well as travel degree are additions now can be expected on this series.

Could be interesting depending on price as glider specific servos are usually super expensive.

I'm always confused by F.Port. What is required to actually set it up with these servos? Do you have to run extra wires and solder to the pigtail that is included with all the receivers...or does it "just work" off the standard +/-/signal wires?

They look exactly like the KST servos. Are FrSky and KST the same company?

KST's smallest servo is 7mm thick.

Most of their servos look like a replica of KST with one difference of using s-bus/f.port.
Even the color scheme is exactly the same

I don't want to "Switch Now"

Having SBUS would certainly make a 4 servo wing easier to do.

hall effect position sensor, that's a game changer for sure!

IIRC KST balked at doing a 6mm servo because of no available pot with decent enough performance...and the x06 ain't that great at centering because of the same.

now just ditch the cheapo pager motor, find something brushless and we would have the ultimate micro servo!
