Video Shows a Sweet Cross Wind Landing

Cross Wind landings can be a challenge, especially when the wind speed is high. That was the case at this year's Florida Jets event which kept many pilots grounded due to the tricky conditions for landing safely. It can be done though with the right skills. You need to crab the plane into the wind while flying down the runway, touch down softly and at the right moment get the nose pointed mostly back down the runway for a straight rollout.

It's easier said than done, but J. Rosier AKA "Johnny Flex" shows us how to do it with his Havoc. You can see his landing at the end of the video posted below. How do you approach and handle cross wind landings?

I figured most of the bigger jets would be using Smooth Flight, Power Box or some kind of gyro to assist on cross wind landings. Great pilot though and he made it look easy,

That's my son flying his big EA Havoc. He's using the Flex Innovations Aura Pro 12 in this jet for flight control. That was about a 20 mph crosswind he was landing in.
