For inside the house I fly an Ikarus FP Piccolo which has a low enough head speed that if it hits objects it does the least amount of damage. I did try a CP Piccolo but the head speed was way to fast for my small house. Any 400 size heli is fun to fly inside a Sports Hall.

I fly my Zoom 400 outside only as it likes to have the space and is great in the face of any wind unlike the Piccolo birds which are blown around in the smallest of gusts.

But if you dont want to wreck your house you probably shouldnt. Ive been lucky so far.

Trex is best saved for outside, it loves he wind too.

A hirobo XRB SR is the perfect indoor heli. Look in the multi rotor heli forum.

If your not into the multi rotor thing a fixed pitch is the way forward for indoors.Never seen a picoolo but people like them. I had a Dragonfly and it was good but had lots of trouble with the mixer board, new model should fix that. (Are you there Bally?!) Otherwise, seperates are better anyway.

I've flown an Piccolo CP for a while, but it hasn't been much fun because it's not really docile, maybe the FP is better. I brougt a X-400 now and I can say, it he's very easy to handle. I just flew outside and no problem at wind, were the piccolo has been blown arround. Hover inside a room should be no problem.

I like flying the RotoFly in small spaces. The plastic blades do not do much damage when you hover into a chair. I also fly a Century Hummingbird, it is easier to fly but the rotor has more energy. When you fly into yourself it will hurt. The Smileyantenna.com RC Power duck antenna is really short and takes less space indoors.

The best indoor heli I think is the Hirobo xrb sky robo. Very stable and foam blades that won't damage your house.

You can get the Housefly or the Walkera # 5 - they are the same, just the brand names are different. You can try the search to get one like google.com or Yahoo.com.

For best ease of use, and non-existant chance of damaging the house, the Hirobo XRB Lama SR is the tops for indoor flight.

Hirobo Lama: Looks like it needs a cord attached to it?

Housefly: looks nice

The 3 I like so far in order of preference are
1. Hummingbird
2. Picollo Micro
3. Hornet Micro

What you think?

You will be able to hover with those in a small room but not much more.

The Lama SR has no cord. I do also like the Hummingbird and the Piccolo FP helis for indoor use, but they are much more challenging than the Lama SR.

Yeah I basically just want to hover from room to room :-)
Take off from the dining table and land on the floor, etc etc

Just a little fun, dont plan on 3D in the living room :-)

He was asking for something to fly indoors and i don't consider hovering flying but apparently FRODO does... so you are correct

If you already know how to fly some indoor stuff is possible in a small room but i think something sub-micro like the Bumble Bee would be alot better for in a house.

The first thing i did when i learned to hover was to cut my micro heli down to sub-micro size so i can fly it indoors. After burning up two 3in1 boards by pulling too many amps because of the cut down rotors,i had to go seperates just to stay flying. I would have saved alot of time and money if i just bought a sub-micro to begin with.
