What to build a plane for a 1700mAh battery...

I am very new at the whole RC world. I have been building and flying small plans out of the Blue Fan foam, and I wish to build a plane that can use this battery... becasuse I bought it planning on using it in my wallie Wing, but That didnt work out so well. The problem is the battery weight like 13 oz. I have some speed 400 equipment, and i was wanting to build a bigger slowflyer that can use this heavy battery. Is this even possible? One other question... In what planes do people actually use this battery?
