Your sport scheme is sharp looking. Why put a boring sabre scheme

Well just a quick check on patterns and see if any new patterns emerge from overlapping. This way I’m not waisting tape and time. But it’s time to mask and spray.

First mask

Here we go ,bring on the colors.

Well white has been applied. Now unwrap and then rewrap for next colors and logos. Well let this dry for a few days and then I’ll mask the next areas needed for paint.

Well laid down some of the black and then diluted the black to dirty the nacelle and canopy area before I put another color. I’m going to make a checker pattern on tails and then dust a gradation of the red going from tail next to nothing and going towards the nose full coverage. Still need to make masks for verticals.

Putting a checker pattern on silver and then spray red for front to tail with a mist. Pull the mask and silver will be solid and red will go from solid to faint red mist. Well that’s the plan and then need to do the red on canopy area and left wing logo. Let this dry and then clear top and flip and finish the bottom of the Roo.

Looking good Jeff..the highlights on the canopy and nacelle came out nice

The canopy will have a red band and will surround the canopy area and the define the canopy foe glass with red frame. Frisketing the squares now. Would be easy to just go solid red but just trying another technique.

Well starting to cut now. Drew up some checker patterns for the verticals. See if this works or not soon.

Well I’ve painted the vertical fins and still need canopy area and nacelle masked and then apply some more red. Logos still need to be applied on wing tops.

I use a respirator and usually use my shop area. I’ve used outside pop up for larger projects.

But nothing fancy. So lot of color sanding and then clear and I hope that seals the deal on paint.
