There some pics of an interesting test stand in the photo's area of the British Electric Flight Association quarterly EF-UK Issue No 76:
http://www.befa.org.uk/ef-uk/76-photos.htm.

The stand itsself is the 'normal' 90 degree swivel arm. But what is different is that this teststand allows using the whole fuse with the motor installed. So you don't have to test with motor and ESC ripped out of your model.

Shamless plug here, just added these to my site a few days ago.

If your not interested in building your own.

Depdog, did your dad see the one the link I posted points to? Same principle but modified to allow the moter in the model to be tested as the top of the arm isn't one of two sizes of sticks, but a cradle. For testing motors not yet mounted in a model a wooden plug with different sizes of sticks would work fine.

Nope, I know he has not seen it. When he comes down in a week or so, I will deff show it to him though.

Thats a pretty cool stand. Set the plane on the c/g and rubber band it down. Neat idea.

RvS.
I suggest that your list should indicate whether the link refers to a torque balance or a thrust balance.
