Ikarus Micro Whirly Bird
Toledo gets a little cold and windy in the winter (thinking ahead) and I get those twitchy thumbs, so I've decided to get a micro heli for my apartment. I'm looking for some more opinions on how to do this on a budget with the equipment I've got. I fully trust nihil's opinion, but two heads are better than one! Please keep in mind this will by my first whirly bird. I've chosen the Fun Piccolo from a previous recommendation, but I want more opinions.
Need To Purchase List:
Ikarus Fun Piccolo FP Kit (Kit so I know how it goes together so I can fix it when it comes apart!)
Trainer gear for my dumb thumbs
csm hlg200 gyro
Already Own List:
E-Flite 370 5400kV Brushless
E-Flite 20A ESC
ETEC 7.4v 2s2p 1200mAh lipo (x2)
GWS ICS50, 100, 300 (either one) for tail motor
GWS IPS can motor for tail drive
GWS Pico servos (x2)
GWS 4 chan RX
Futaba 6EXA or Skysport - whichever will work best.
I'm a college student so if there is a cheaper gyro that will produce modest or equal results for this beginner setup I'm all for it.
