Pilot RC 40% Decathlon
Putting together Pilot RC 40% Decathlon.
Specs:
This is my first Pilot RC model and first Decathlon so I'd appreciate any input/feedback on build components for scale/sport flying. I'm not into 3D or towing so no need for crazy power/weight ratio. Kit is ordered, working now on the components. Here's what I'm what I'm thinking as build list - Power - Engine: Saito FG-100TS - Prop: Mejzlik carbon 27x10 Radio gear: - Pioneer w/Micro Mag Switch - iGyro SAT - GPS-III - PowerPak 5.0X2 (PowerBox batteries) - SparkSwitch Pro - PowerPak 2.5X2 (Ignition battery) - PBR-26D Receivers (2) Servos (ailerons-2, flaps, elevators) - Hitec D950TW (8) Servo (rudder) - Hitec D951TW (2) Servo (throttle) -Hitec D955TW Pilot Dude - Extreme Flight X-35-40%- Red/White/Black Servo extensions - ElectroDynamics QuikClik LED system - UniLight PRO-Large Lighting Set Pilot RC Wing Bag |

Thanks...
Yikes!
Realize on the low end, but watching a few videos with DLE-111 and other similar engines spinning 27x10 - 26x12 props, I’m hopeful it’s gonna work. Also I already have the Saito and ordered the model so fingers crossed! Agree the manual is light on detail. Thanks for your input - appreciate it! |
