New222, I know I had a J 250 on mine with a 5x25 prop on 2s. It was all built with hot glue. It went just fine. Not sure what it weighed but I know it was no light weight. The way this guy is set up, it has very nice lift and less than 1:1 thrust to weight ratio doesn't even seem to hamper its flight. I flew mine indoors at our soccer dome. As a matter of fact, it was the first flight I ever had in RC.

The best plane to start with. Hence the name.

GPW's word on that weight of yours is much more learned than mine though.

Thats great to hear. Now I just gotta wait for my crystal for my receiver to be delivered. With any luck, I hope to fly it next Friday night. Also may have a smaller battery by then too, so that would bring the weight down even more.

NEW, That's a fine weight as is.... Our first one flew with a j250 motor and six very heavy Nimh cells ...several ounces heavier than yours.... and that's the one we used to do all the testing .. flew just fine ... but, lighter is always better...

Well, i'm all done except mounting the receiver now. Will have to wait for a nice day outside for the maiden. If not busy, maybe the 5th of March.

Do you happen to have Mother Nature's email address? Maybe drop her a note and beg for some decent weather.
