Split Elevator......

Cary:

Using 1/2 of the horizontal stab for an elevator is an old trick that some of us use on "old timer" conversions of free flight to RC assist. This was used to simplifly the conversion/build. The model will never notice and fly just great!

Guys , Guys !!!! Calm down ..... I've got to ink a few words on the plans and scan them and they're yours .... The plane has a wing 38"x7" a 4% uc airfoil , bent on the Bendfoam jig ... flat center section , poly tips ...The fuse is a single layer of FFF with a 3/16" dowell glued on the bottom from the nose to the front of the stab ... Landing gear is wrapped and glued to the dowell BEFORE it's glued to the Fuse....The rest is a few Bamboo skewers and some scotch tape ... The stab is mounted very low on the fuse (an old Ken Willard /"Schoolboy" trick ) for stability .... Very gentle on low rates .... BORING as pronounced by the crowd of cynics I fly with (Ha!)... I'll get on it , maybe tonight I can post them ..... meanwhile get your stuff together , it's a quick build ...Be back

Does anyone have an extra J250 or 2? This is the only thing I lack for the build.

Good job GPW!!! :)

Hmmm... Just did some more thinking... How about some more technical data like AUW, fuse length, battery choice and such.

As for a float plane version it would need more power than a J 250 pushing a 4x2.5 prop I would think or am I wrong with this notion?

As I see it I think with more power it could do floats or skies nicely. :)
