"TRAINER One"… The First plane you need !!!
Guys , I've been working on a new trainer for a while .... really like this one , it's strong , easy to build , and flies like a Trainer should .... gave it to my FB BOB and told him to try and make it fly badly .... couldn't do it ... put it in every possible attitude , released the sticks and instantly it righted itself .... Got the plans .... ideal for a j250 or a cd motor ....
I' know everyone has gone hydro , but this ones strictly for the Noobs , dudes !!!! or the old farts looking for something really relaxing .... all you have to do really is steer it around with the rudder .... almost too easy .... Sticks ? Why , inexpensive bamboo skewers and a 3/16 dowell fron the Wally World crafts dept (or elsewhere).... tough airframe .... I tested it in the driveway at the house , crashed into everything in the ares , all I did was pop a crystal out ...????? not even a wrinkle ... Anybody not currently possessed by the Hydro mania , and would like plans , let me know .... CU ****Be sure to see GeneBond's wonderful PDF's of the plans on page 5 , post 44 of this thread ... ***Thanks Gene!!! Update: If you're using the newer lighter Lipo batteries , make the nose 1"-2" longer for proper balance... ![]() Plans will be updated as the new technology develops. 11/16/2017 |

gpw, might be just the thing for flying around the front yard. What's the AUW and dimensions? Also have a friend who's 9 year old daughter is interested in flying, might be just the thing for her. Working today, no time to play. Just checking in on the hydro build and this drew my eye. Please send me a copy of the plans, I have a few J250's getting dusty. LOL.

Ditto on the Johnsons...
I too would be very interested in plans for this little bird. |

I'm building Gene's DC-3 twin as a trainer for my brother. I might as well build him one of these while I'm at it. My sons are starting to get more interested too. This is one they could build with a little fatherly supervision. Let's see those plans.
p.s. Looks like just half of the elevator actually moves. Is that right? Does it want to bank right a little when you pull UP? |

gpw, sounds like it's a hit. Might be a good candidate for some floats too. If it would carry the extra wing loading.
