The video of this $70K L-39 came out in October, but I had to share it. Pilot Mario Walter puts on a great show and the model is simply stunning. The L-39C XXXL by Tomahawk Aviation is a 1:2.7 scale model with a 138" wingspan and length of 177". It weighs in at 155lbs and is made of fiberglass and carbon materials. It's powered by a JetCat P550 turbine jet engine.
The scale details are impressive and it can even drop flares in flight which you can see early on in the video. The video was shot during the Slovenia Jet Meet 2020. Check it out below and let us know what you think.

As someone who's first encounter with trying to buy a Turbine model was through Tomahawk, I will say that there is NO way I'd ever deal with Thomas again.
He does build nice models, but he'll screw you at the drop of a hat and is not the least bit apologetic. Perhaps if you were to buy one from BVM, I understand they are a distributor now, it might be different. Now on to Turbo's engines sold in conjunction with the models? Hang on to your shorts if you go that way. |

Considering this is a $70,000 model , Zeep, do you care to elaborate ?
I am curious on how someone can spend $70,000 and not have system, connections or global reach to prevent an unethical business experience. I travel the globe, and as a result I can follow thru on any business practice that I encounter that is not on par with expectations. It can be as simple as tracking down an unethical builder in Florida who takes funding and never builds or ships the model or a global related issues. So am I curious on your post considering the cost of the model. There’s an assumed global reach of any person that chooses to spend $70,000 on an RC plane, I assume can fly anywhere in the world and resolve an issue. Thank you |
