Hi, my name is Choppergirl, and I made a new Sound Pack for Open-TX

Can someone help me, I'm trying to figure out where in the world to post an announcement about my new Sound Pack for Open TX transmitters on this forum, that would be the right proper category or place... it's so sprawling I'm finding it hard to navigate around it.

I'm finding it very hard to get news about my new Open-TX sound pack out to the community, esp. since Youtube has turned on it's brutal A.I. comment filter in the last few months.

Some neat things about my Sound Pack:
--Drop in replacement for other English Sound Packs
--750 new audio files, more than any other sound pack
--Unlike other Sound Packs, you can browse in Windows Explorer and see the phrase said in the file, and sort by Album / Category.
--No more 4 different voices, finally your radio will talk to you in one voice.
--I down sampled everything to 16kbs, which should work on even the oldest transmitters, but I only have TX-16s so no way to test.

I'm a quad pilot and initially recorded the sounds I needed for myself, but realized I had learned so much from Youtube how to videos, I might as well go all the way record all the rest of the files for Wing Pilots and give something back. It was a lot of work, let me tell you.

Anyway, if someone could tell me the best category to announce this, that would help bunches. I did a search on Sound Pack but that just didn't not help much. I'm kind of vision impaired, so browsing this site with the brazing white background really hurts my eyes, it's like for me staring into a florescent light bulb, so I can't really search around like I would want to trying to find the right place.

❤️️ Rock a New Girl on Your Radio! ❤️️ (0 min 39 sec)

If anybody could help me, that would be great. Thanks bunches!

My background is in ultralight aviation... I have three full sized air plane projects, but I had two friends in RC who were the most generous ever... Mac Hodges (you may know him as the B-17 guy) and David Gates. I started watching FPV cinematic quad copter footage about a year ago and was enthralled.

I've since spent about 1,200 in the Liftoff simulator and now am an expert quad aerobatic pilot. But with the real life hobby, I've had nothing but trouble and bad luck so far. I hate the DJI goggles, and I fried my quad copter after one flight by plugging in the XT-60 backwards. Even though I can solder very well, I can't solder in my replacement ESC at the moment with the eyesight I have. I'm hoping to get it fixed this year, my vision and the quad, but things aren't looking to promising at the moment.

So being stuck indoors in the winter and unable to see, recording a sound pack was literally about the last thing I was capable of doing in the hobby, or well, otherwise. I can't even read the date on my driver's license if I hold it right up to my eye. I'm only able to do computer stuff via high contrast themes and huge font sizes.

If you have any feedback, input, comments, requests, advice, etc... feel free to email me: [email protected]
Like I said, it's very hard for me to use this forum because of the large amounts of blazing bright white space.

On Rotor Builds:

--- Quick install instructions ---
-- basically, you'll just be replacing /SOUNDS/en folder on your TX's microSD card with mine. That's it!
-- unzip the Zip archive to your desktop. You'll get a "SOUNDS" folder with another "en" folder in it
-- connect to your transmitter with a USB cable (or put your microSD in a card reader)
-- in My Computer, backup your old microSD cards /SOUNDS/en folder if you wish, or rename it to /SOUNDS/en_original , or... just delete it
-- drag and drop my new replacement /SOUNDS/en folder that you just unzipped
..... onto your microSD card drive using Windows Explorer
..... to simply replace your old /SOUNDS/en folder. (say yes to replace queries)
-- when done copying,,, disconnect safely from USB. you're done!
-- if you don't hear new sounds when power cycling your radio, make sure your radio "Voice language" is set to "English" in SYS: Settingsgear icon)
-- Caveat: Note that if you don't use the other language sound packs, if you are pressed for space on your microSD card, you can delete them.

This is funny:

Don't get all distracted while flying by some studio polished femme fatale!
She's a siren song waiting to lure your RC model to it's doom

Congratulations on creating these files.
Can they be browsed in Linux?

I will download them anyway and try.
