Fuel shouldn't be too hard Shawn. There should be plenty of alky around Portland. Check the speed shops if there is not a VP distributor near by. With the racetrack there you should be able to pick some up at the track if all else fails. If you have problems finding it there let me know and I will have my VP people find some there for you.

Bought two different generic landing gear cuff sets that I think are going to work. One set fits up better than the other. Just need to pick my poison. Had a 3/32” aluminum plate cut which will add crush resistance to the engine spacer and give me the cowling/spinner gap I need.

Tackled the cowling ring. It is basically done now.

Thank you, Dale!! I ordered them both from Extreme Flight. One set was $22 and the other was $8. I can’t remember which one was which now. I think they were for a 104” Edge - that’s how they were titled in the product section. I’ll see if I can get links.

Thanks Jason! Don't sweat getting the links, I've been shopping EF for a few months now. I picked up a few smaller 52" planes lately. Something fun to keep my skills up and tinker with until I get back to my big guys... Very good company to deal with. I'll browse their site a bit more and check them out.

Big update here. Got all the wing and tail incidences set. Removed the old brass furniture inserts and made the new 10-32 wing retention system. And last, started lightening the elevators.

Looks really good. Not much time lately to work on mine. Last weekend I did get the fin blocks in. After some thought I have decided that the turtle deck and fin will be glassed and painted. If not all these butt joints will be visible under the covering no matter how well they are sanded.

LOL, I pulled them off the 1/3.5 Pitts I picked up a few weeks ago and just slipped them on the wheels. Going to doctor one up and pull a mold. I need a couple sets and am not going to pay $60.00 per set.
