Introduction
NEW MOVES FROM AN OLD FAVORITE
Introduced as a ParkZone® model more than a decade ago, the T-28 Trojan 1.1m quickly became a favorite of low-time to experienced pilots alike! It had the scale looks of the North American Aviation T-28 Trojan used as a trainer by the Navy from 1952 to 1984, yet flew better than most sport RC models because of its incredible handling with no bad habits. The model’s simplicity, durability, and easy handling made it especially popular with low-time pilots moving up to their first sport, low wing or warbird model after mastering a trainer. Plus, the convenient size allowed it to be flown at large parks and sports fields and transported easily without disassembly. Now the T-28 has been updated and upgraded to be more powerful, more capable, and more fun to fly than ever before! Stronger and reinforced parts combine with the more powerful 3S and 4S compatible power system featuring a telemetry-capable ESC to deliver higher speeds and higher energy aerobatic performance — while offering the same slow and scale-like, sport flying and easy handling capabilities the original was always known for.
Overview
A T-28 AT THE TOP OF ITS CLASS
Updated and upgraded, including a fully-painted, high-visibility trim scheme, the E-flite® T-28 Trojan 1.1m reaffirms its status as an excellent “next step” model for low-time pilots who have mastered a trainer and are looking for their first low-wing, sport or warbird model — while expanding its performance for experienced pilots with higher speed and higher energy aerobatic capabilities! With a common 3S 1800–2200mAh LiPo battery, the brushless power system featuring a specially-tuned motor delivers plenty of thrust and speed for low-time to intermediate pilots. Or, install a 4S battery for more speed and unlimited vertical performance without modifications or upgrades! Four servos and linkages are factory-installed for full aerobatic capability to perform loops, rolls, knife-edge, inverted flying, and more. The composite-reinforced EPO airframe includes stronger parts to handle the higher speeds and additional aerobatic capabilities, and for improved durability overall. Final assembly is fast and easy, no glue required, and the T-28 fits into almost any vehicle fully assembled — or the wing can be removed for even easier transport and storage. Any traditional RC flying field with paved, dirt or grass surfaces makes a suitable flying site, although skilled pilots can fly in smaller areas such as large parks or sports fields. The T-28 is inherently stable like the full-scale trainer platform, but the BNF® Basic version, featuring a Spektrum™ AR631 receiver, gives low-time and intermediate pilots the added benefits of exclusive AS3X® and optional-use SAFE® Select stabilization technologies. Best of all the ESC included with both versions is telemetry-capable to deliver real-time battery voltage, current, motor RPM, and other data via compatible receivers (including the AR631 included with the BNF Basic version) and Spektrum™ AirWare™ equipped transmitters. And it all adds up to offer improved scale-like and sport flying, higher speed and higher energy aerobatic capabilities to deliver a sport scale flying experience you simply can’t get anywhere else!
More Capable The lightweight yet durable composite-reinforced EPO airframe has been updated to handle more power, higher speeds and higher energy aerobatics. A stronger motor mount and nose gear steering arm, plus a new spar to better reinforce the wing, combine to make the T-28 Trojan 1.1m more capable than ever before.
More Powerful The factory-installed brushless power system features a 30-amp telemetry-capable ESC plus a specially-tuned motor to deliver an abundance of thrust with a 3S LiPo battery, or more speed and unlimited vertical performance with a 4S battery without the need for any modifications or upgrades.
Telemetry Capable The T-28 Trojan 1.1m is equipped with an ESC that can provide a variety of real-time power system related telemetry data including motor RPM, current, battery voltage and more via compatible receivers (including the AR631 installed in the BNF® Basic version) and Spektrum™ AirWare™ equipped transmitters (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, the DX9, the NX6, 8 and 10, the iX12, iX20 and others) while you fly.
Easy Assembly No glue is required for final assembly, and you can have the T-28 Trojan 1.1m ready to fly in less time than it takes to charge a battery! And although it's conveniently sized to fit fully assembled in just about any vehicle, you can also remove the wing for even easier storage and transport.
Bind-N-Fly® Completion Level Advantage Already own a Spektrum™ transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) aircraft make getting into the air quickly and with the best control experience possible easier than ever. They come out of the box with the power system, servos and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver installed so all you need to do is bind the receiver to a compatible transmitter, finish any final assembly and fly!
The Bind-N-Fly Basic model is equipped with a Spektrum 2.4GHz DSMX® receiver featuring AS3X® (Artificial Stabilization–3-aXis) technology that works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence so you enjoy a sense of stability and precision that makes it feel like you're flying an even larger, expertly tuned aircraft.
If this is your first model of its type, or you want an extra margin of safety while familiarizing yourself with the airplane, you can enable the optional-use SAFE® Select flight envelope protection technology built into the receiver. No complex programming is required. Simply change up the binding sequence as directed in the manual.
With SAFE Select enabled, you get:
Pitch and Bank Angle Limits
Automatic Self-Leveling
Easy Switch Assignment—No Complex Programming Required
If you don’t want to enable the SAFE Select features, just bind the receiver normally and it will function like a standard AS3X receiver.
Plug-N-Play® Completion Level The Plug-N-Play® (PNP) version comes out of the box with a factory-installed power system and servos that are ready to connect to the compatible receiver of your choice (sold separately), plus the transmitter and battery you provide (also sold separately). Simply install the receiver, finish any final assembly, and fly!

Deciding which forum to post this thread in was no easy task! Yes, many will consider this "warbird" subject matter, but this particular model appeals to MANY pilots well beyond warbird enthusiasts alone. It's been one of the best selling designs/models in our industry ever because it flies so incredibly well and can be enjoyed by a wide range of pilots from low-time to experienced, whether they're interested in a first or no hassles low wing, scale or wabird model...and one of the best all-around sport flying experiences ever

Here's the first Flight Talk video! Much of it is geared more toward those moving up from a trainer, but there's some more aggressive flying with 4S (and the stock throws) in the latter portion of the video. Per the description: Quote:
Still hoping to shoot another Flight Talk video in the future showing more of the telemetry features when using an AirWare equipped computer transmitter, plus even more aggressive flying with the throws cranked up! Video from Brian Phillips: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVu...4mN1VwOPwVcLuA

Placeholder for previous version (white and red ParkZone/E-flite models) spare part availability info...yes, these parts are available again now!
BTW, this is our promotional video for the last ParkZone version we released a few years ago. The new E-flite version can do all of the same...plus even more! And even though the model in this video didn't survive the shoot ("Jason, didn't you see that tree?" asked the videographer who was filming when the airplane met it's untimely demise), it was a lot of fun to fly and shoot...plus we have the parts to fix it again ![]()
Also, as an added bonus, here's what the previous version was capable of in stock form with a 3S 2200mAh battery ![]()
Wait until you see what the new E-flite version can do with a 4S battery ![]() |

I have the tiny yellow Trojan s and I really like how this larger sibling looks. I do miss the 3-bladed prop for the red and white version that's on my FMS T-28 800mm as it looks so cool but other than that it's pretty sweet.

Very very nice Jason. Very sneaky from when I asked about this plane on the last live show. I know it's got to be hard to keep these things secret. If you wanted to send me one of these for testing I wouldn't be made at you lol.
Wow the older version could do some stuff who knew ha ha, I never owned one to try crazy stuff but I have only seen folks fly them around in circles few loops and rolls. I was looking for this thread before i went to bed lastnight and it wasn't up yet lol.. I knew something was coming today but didn't know what. |

By the looks the only difference is that the AR630 have integrated antenna and on the AR631 it's an external.
I have a bunch of both AR630 and AR637T and the antenna less AR630 is much easier to install but lacks all the telemetry except when paired with a SMART ESC. |

Hey Jason under the Replacement Parts For it, it shows a AR630 listed. not the AR631, is that a opps. or ? also it shows a e flite esc? not a avian? i didn't know e flit escs could do telemetry, but with that one would you not get your battery per cell with a smart pack? |

I hope the paint is better then my EC-1500, out of the box it had a spot on top of the canopy where looked like someone stuck tape then peeled it off and the paint came off with it, and it seems anytime it barely gets bumped paint is coming off it. Now i know why another club members looks so beat up.
