Strange throttle channel behavior

I noticed that the values of the throttle channel are constantly changing within + - 0.1 0.2. Is this normal or not?

The video is too short to examine. Try 10 seconds long next time. Please re-do this video with your smartphone turned to a landscape mode plus center the Tx screen on it. All that is seen mostly is the neck strap bracket and on up. OTW, video quality is very good.

Have you tried a stick calibration?

I don't recall my radio doing this. Does yours do this at any throttle position, or just the one shown?

At + -100%, 0% - there is no change in values, in the range 10% - 90% there are constant changes in the value.
I watched another mz-32 radio - the same....

If you go back to previous FW does problem clear up?

I suspect there are one or two things happening. The software is probably more sensitive and is sampling the stick positions more frequently; this increased sampling will find manufacturing irregularities in stick components that were not previously known to the user of the previous FW version.

I think the big question is this...does it affect the throttle when plane is powered up on the ground or when flying? If it does not then I would not be so concerned but would file an official bug or unexpected event report with Graupner.

This is interesting as another user had a FW upgrade fail due to an issue with a "right switch" assembly. Apparently the FW software is now more sensitive or it is 'testing' assemblies for state of presence.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that. So have the radio always done this or is this a new event? At best guess, it is hardware issue so if this is
affecting the control of the plane then you can return to Graupner and request warranty work.

Past sending this back to Graupner, you can open the case up and check for look connection and use something like an air dust blower for
camera lens and blow clean all you can from the board and components. Granted that is a long shot but can not hurt to try.

Yes...I saw that as well. So since, you move back to previous version and problem still exists then it is perhaps a hardware issue?

As for the latest version, a software increased sampling rate for controls could detect problems not previously known. Also new version may have a bug in a math value that is causing an erroneous display.

If I remember correctly my MC-20 did the same but it never affected the controls. Are you having any control issues?

This behavior you will see on the throttle channel mainly because it is not locked mechanically (springs) into place like the other channels.

These small deviations readings are not mechanical but probably more of a an attempt by the software to determine the position of the stick.

I will forward this to the developers and check if they can alter a bit the way they calculate and display stick position.
