ScrewDriver Size - Hitec HS-55 Servo's

Does anybody know what size screwdriver you need for the mounting screws for these small servos? I have tried all the small/jewler's screw dirvers, but
none seem to fit. #00 phillips seems to big also. Anybody know? Where would you find them? (Have to check LHS, just havn't had the chance)

Thanks

I have found a "Husky Precision Screwdriver Kit" that is great. It comes with 4 double sided bits with phillips on one side and common on the other. It has replaced all the small screwdrivers I have had. I think the even sell them in Home Depot for less than $6.

Good Luck

They're actually not phillips, they're JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) I got a set from RJR Cool Tools and all problems with the little servo screws went away.

mag,

I actually ended up modifying small flat screw driver I had to work with the HS-50 and HS-55 servos. I just took a very cheap small flat screw driver and filed/sanded it down so that it fit it the super small screw.

HS-55 Servo Screws

I found at Radio Shack a kit which has screwdrivers, torque sockets etc.... in a nice plastic box for storing. It was only $15.00 and they seem to work ok on my HS-55's.

I use a "Stanley" #66-052 small screwdriver set I got at Wal-Mart. It has 4 flat blades and 2 phillips. They all have rotating ends on the handles which makes them easier to use. Come in a little yellow plastic case. The smaller phillips seems to work well on the HS-55's.

I think the set cost around $5.00

Are there any non-hobby places to get replacement screws?

Got the Husky set. The #000 Phillips works perfect.
Thanks

I use one of those tiny slotted screwdirvers that come in the kits to fix eyeglasses. Works well.
