You Know You're an RC Pilot When...

  • ...Your closet has more event T-shirts than dress shirts
  • ...Only the bottom half of your face has a tan
  • ...You see a big open field while driving and think "I could fly there"
  • ...You compare every purchase to the cost of a new airplane
  • ...You haven't seen the surface of your dining room table in months

I thought this would make a for a fun little thread. Let's hear your "You Know You're an RC Pilot When" lines in the comments below.

Your neighbor is doing yardwork and you're thinking, "Why is he wasting a perfectly good airplane engine on a weed eater?"

Your eyes narrow when someone says "real airplane" to you

You actually understand the difference between exponential and dual rates

You can land and take off in both directions at your field and a modest crosswind is not an issue.

I can totally relate to driving by an empty field and thinking what a great spot.

When long boxes are delivered to your house, everyone knows it's yours even if your name wasn't on the label.

That's me.

Along with checking the size of the new car to be sure it will fit at least two planes.
