Your RC Plans for 2021...

A new year is coming. What are your RC plans for it?

What's Your RC Plan?

What a crazy a year for everyone in the hobby. I haven't been to Joe Nall in so long, due to rain and then COVID it's getting hard to tell how long it's actually been. RC events all over the country have been canceled.

We have a new year approaching and hopefully with that year will be the ability to go to some big events.

My Question to You

What is your plan for your hobby in 2021? Post it here and let us know!

Staying safe, flying as much as possible at our club fields after the snow leaves. Organizing our clubs new Winter flying spot at the new Sports Dome which opens December 11th 2020. And definitely more rc sailing, race boating this year as our dock got rebuilt.

Flying, enjoying the fresh air & sunshine as much as possible! Which is pretty much my goal every year. Hoping some of the events in the area are able to be held. And figuring out this strange, noisy thing called “gas engines”!

Fly! And complete at least one balsa/ply build.
Buy fewer planes, but spend the same amount, sell off some planes I don't fly anymore and end up with fewer planes overall.

I have several planes to build and repair. It'll be a busy year of building and flying. Also, my side project, The RC Lawn Chair Pilots Podcast, will continue and hopefully document some awesome adventures my friend and I have.

Pray first for 2021. Then fly as many days as possible!

Modeling Retread
I'm retiring from full time work in January. I plan on more building, more flying and attending more flying events.

Fly as much or more than I did this year, work on making aerobatics more crisp, and keep purchases down to 1 or 2 planes... enjoy what I have.

Get the Covid-19 vaccine as soon as possible. Pray for a better year. Try to learn 3D flying.

I have a H9 Ultra Stick 60" on order. That should be a fun airplane to fly. Hope it get back in stock this month as Tower has said. I want to complete it over the holidays.

Anyone have one of these? How do you like it?

First, I'm thankful for a very successful RC flying year in 2020. Over 300 flights on thirteen different models, and nothing broken that I couldn't fix . The one bright spot in an otherwise COVID-blighted year.

Planning a couple more balsa builds this winter, and hope for another good year to come. If the FAA will leave us alone...

Still trying to decide whether to renew FAA membership. Didn't really get any benefits for the past 4 years. No FAA guys ever showed up at the flying field and no one ever asked to see the FAA number. Seams like it was all a big joke.
