Micro Tundra 1306 on video

Micro Tundra gets a 1306 (2 min 11 sec)

I soldered the motor directly to the ESC ( Lose some weight )
Everything seems fine , still using the factory ESC since the 6030 pulls a little over 5A

Test bench results =

6040 King Kong MT Prop - 6.8A - 55Watt - 8900 rpm - 180 grams
6030 Gemfan - 5.5A - 44W - 11500 rpm - 192g ( Not the same 6030 used on the 1106 )
5040 GF - 5A - 41W - 12000 rpm - 168g
6x4E - 6.6A - 52W - 9100 rpm - 180g
5045 - 5.5A - 43W - 11500 rpm - 162g

Hmmmm , well ! On the test bench it did 190 grams of thrust .. But in the Tundra ?
Anyways , there is a 1306 in my Micro Tundra now .

I got myself a 1306 from HobbyKing today and a 6A Esc which I plan to wire directly also and shorten then wires for the esc to save some weight.

Did you 3D print your motor mount in PLA or PETG?

I was thinking of going that rout ... But there were so many variables to account for .
+ my 1106 mount is so well glued in .
I would only end up doing a awful lot of damage .
+ The adapter plate can come off and the 1106 can go back in , if needed .

Mine is ready for flight tests tomorrow with a couple of different prop sizes.

I hot glued in the new mount and hard wired the ESC to the motor.

I did not have to modify the cowl so far.
