You always seem to do models that grab my attention.

Since I have been EYEing those TIMBER modeles I certainly see the similarities.

I've taken YOUR PLans and scaled them up to 52" span
so it fits on 3 sheets of MPF with BOTH TAIL Options !

Of course I always have been a BIG fan of those Huge Wheels !
I have a Set on my Beeker and My Slowly !
I need to buy MORE of them this winter.

Slats , Flaperons, Two Tail Options what is NOT TO LIIKE ?

I forgot about the Flugmodell website - I used to spend Hours there.

Thanks for the great design. Just putting it together for indoor here in Edmonton Canada. I converted the plans for my needle cutter and cut a couple out for friends. The green foam is some that I found at Dollarama a year or 2 ago, basically 6mm depron type foam painted on one side (no paper)

Very nice. Did you convert the plans to DXF to make your g-code from?

Imported into inkscape and turned into an svg file then used an inkscape extension to convert into gcode. I did have some problems with this file as the lines were very thin, had to change them to 1 pixel wide to work with the file. It was very hard to see in inkscape unless you zoomed in. Cut using a ERC TimSav needle cutter processing a pdf file

next up is a 60% version for small gear. Have the files done, already to cut from 3mm stock.

I am more of a Larger model fan.
So I have scaled Thomas's little fun scale and low wind type model up to 52" span.
on 3 full sheets of Model Plane Foam.

I also added Alignment tabs and slots and include the Alternate tail parts as well.
I've nto cut built or tested it yet.
It's currently an ongoing project for winter building prospects.

It might be terrific for Ski use this winter too.

I was recently IRKED by the latest cost of those Multiplex 120mm Wheels.
$30 is just offensive IMHO.
I have two sets of them ... one on my Slowly and another on my Beeker.
They are wonderful looking and effective but ... $30 is just a slap in the face !

So I've designed up a 3dPrinted STEAM PUNK Wheel .
I saw similar wheels being proffered as New Tech for Automobiles.

So we will see how these work for Models as Light weight alternatives with some curious style !

Yep those are 120mm dia and ! 36mm wide but less than an ounce, printed in LW-PLA !

If it works at all I've saved $30

I wonder if I could print these with TPU filament and a very low infill, then mount them on PLA hubs. I will draw up the files, and my slicer will give me the weight of each component. I will try 4" diameter.
