Who’s going to be the first one to use TBS Tracer in a sailplane?

I can see the benefits for 5J for sure. Curious to see what downsides there will be for F3K (or 5K for that matter).

3ms latency is way to fast for gliders. No good.

New 2.4 ghz system from TBS... apparently can do 45km range? Really curious to see it. The 6ch rx looks tiny too.

It's a long range 2.4 Ghz module.
It is capable of 25 km range with a dipole antenna and "only" 5 km with a monopole antenna

I wonder if they would be more sensitive to carbon shielding than 'regular' 2.4? Regardless, I'll probably buy a set to try later.

Does it require ham license

This still operates in the 2.4ghz ISM spectrum, so no license would be required.

Would be nice to finally get rid of distracting low-RSSI and FLR warnings.

Just another user...
I don't think there are any Tracer receivers that have a built in altimeter. And I don't think there currently is a way to add an external altimeter.

Wouldn't that be a no-go?
