Thoughts:
You could make the blockade runner flyable. Though it won't look EXACTLY like the image. Transparent wings and control surfaces would suffice. Obviously you can't hide some thing such as wing structure, however if you make it bare necessity and keep it as neat as possible (IE no servo in the middle of the air/wing) it shouldn't be too obvious day or night flying.
You can provide thrust by using 8 high voltage EDF 40's (1 for each 'thruster' that can have an easy intake) and using some sort of ultra light screen over the front of the thruster section for the air inlet. With 2-3oz thrust each that would be 16-24 oz thrust you can run it off 4S bats and choose them to draw 20A (8*2.5A). Ducting would be an issue obviously I suppose adding 3 more fans might be possible but see ducting issues
I would go for a canard configuration rear wing would attach to the two visible rear sections (looks like a job for carbon fiber parts and transparent cover material), with the forward transparent control surface poking out the sides of the forward 'can shaped' section.

Well that's my thoughts anyhow.
Have fun ?

There was question in the earlier thread as to whether the Millenium Falcon actually made an appearance in Episode 3... here is the answer:

"It's tiny, but visible enough to send a warm fuzzy through the hearts of original trilogy fans. In the establishing shot of the expansive Senate docking bays, there's a tiny Millennium Falcon easing into frame. And it's not just a non-descript Corellian freighter; it's on good authority -- namely George Lucas -- that this is the infamous hunk-of-junk before it came into the ownership of either Lando Calrissian or Han Solo."

Talk about blink and you'll miss it.

First time I saw ROTS I caught the Falcon and yes I had that warm and fuzzy. Next day I went to see it a gain and missed it. You have to be vigilant and don't blink

Who owned her before Lando?

This wasa great movie but I didn't get the same feelings off it that I still do from A New Hope

CGI has come a long way. I'm just glad that 20th Century said no to Star Wars in 73 when George first pitched it at them.

I cant wait for the TV series now. Still something to look forward to

Good one George

I don't know but there's a site that had a bunch of ROTS easter eggs:

Blockade runner

You can make a scale blockade runner by building a light thin foam model
shell and have helium filled bags inside. use an off the shelf remote control
unit from an rc blimp to fly it around.
It will take some work to get the center of gravity down to
keep the unintentional aerobatics from happening.
You can figure the size based on the lifting force of helium and weight of
the shell and rc unit.
Could be fun.

i was watching star wars revelations the fan film and theres this great ship in it the emerors hand ship cant remeber the womans name
anyway i took some screen shots so if any of you guys with building expertese would like to take the project on.
i would love to build and fly it myself but i niether build nor fly planes yet im an uber noob.
from what iv read you need 3 views of the plane so that you can construct it
i tred my best to get front view and rear view of the plane side view was hard coz there is no shot of it from the side but i took a shot of it landed with the flaps tucked in sorta a top view from side
hope this helps i would love to see it built
