timber ; micro

I don't understand why this micro weighs 24grams more than the UMX Timber.

Different foam?

The wing is certainly thicker and it has bigger servos than the UMX Timber does.

So just wondering, and I’m no electronics engineer by any stretch of the imagination, but couldn’t HK equip this plane with some sort of gyro with stabilizer and auto level and have the servos plug directly to that without the heavy adapters? Then we could use a small, lightweight SBUS receiver? The UMX planes from HH have a small brick that does it all and has a couple servos on it too, certainly HK could have come up with something.

Anyway, the plane is already too heavy as it is, and would be way too heavy if I add any type of gyro, and it’s always windy here, so I’ll likely sit out this dance.

I think ZOHD makes a flight stabiliser that works with SBUS receivers, but it's not that small.

Anyway sure a small SBUS gyro would be great, for now I think a FrSky VD5M receiver (or the Hitec Minima compatible version of that) seems fine to me as it is 5 channels and has the Molex connectors.

If you can still find them.. bind either in D8 mode or use a Multi-module for the Hitec version.

Compare the prices and you might. Ironically it cost MORE to weigh less.
